Leonid Dudiy

Leonid Dudiy is a landscape painter and has been painting since childhood. In 1985 he obtained a diploma with a specialization in artistic ceramics (Vocational and Technical School in Ternopil), 1988-1991 he graduated from the Faculty of Painting and Graphic Arts in Moscow, and in 1991 - an internship in the Krakow studio of Jerzy Nowosielski.

The artist practices oil painting, uses acrylic or watercolor. He deals with easel and wall painting, interior decoration, graphics and illustration. His paintings are in private collections as well as in museums, including the painting "Kamieniec Podolski" belonging to the collection of the National Museum in Toronto.

He has also done works related to the conservation of monuments and reconstructions of historical works. These are mainly wall paintings in Bisztynek and the palace in Wejherowo. He worked on frescoes in Ukrainian churches in the Ternopil region. His paintings can also be found in the Maritime Museum in Gdańsk ("Ship of the Church" - a 15th-century work reproduced on the basis of several black and white prints and literary descriptions). in the Corpus Christi Church in Gdansk.
