Marcin Zalewski
Marcin Zalewski was born in 1978 in Warsaw, where he displayed a passion for art and creative expression from an early age.
Zalewski is a graduate of the A. Kenar Artistic High School in Zakopane and the Faculty of Sculpture at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied under Professor J. Kucz and graduated in 2004, acquiring knowledge and skills in painting and drawing.
His works are characterized by intense colors and dynamic compositions. The artist often explores various painting techniques, combining traditional approaches with modern methods. He appreciates contemporary artists such as Bruno Walpoth, Willy Verginer, and Henry Moore, but he is also close to old masters like Fra Angelico, Giotto di Bondone, and Vermeer. Through his painting, Marcin Zalewski strives to discover a language for communicating with others and to share his sensitivity with them. Marcin Zalewski’s creativity frequently focuses on human relationships and introspection, making his pieces both deeply personal and universally relatable. His paintings reflect influences of surrealism and symbolism, adding depth and layers to his work.
He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, both in Poland and abroad, gaining recognition within the artistic community. His works are found in private collections as well as in museums.
