Mariusz Drabarek
Mariusz Drabarek was born in 1979. He studied and consulted with several selected painters, while rejecting regular education in artistic studies.
Having lived in East London for 11 years, he was a member of BowArt, where - as he says - he gained the necessary knowledge and some artistic maturity. As a member of this organization, I have participated in many competitions, workshops and exhibitions.
"In my philosophy of being an artist there is something mundane; my paintings are who I am. They are meant to be what I absorb: emotions, feelings, passion. With paints I express myself, this medium is closest to me; color, form, message These are three important factors that, when put together, show a 'picture' instead of a thousand words. I reconstruct the reality created by mass media, cut them into pieces, mix, process and apply according to my own proportions. "
He feels the strong influence of New Wild (Die Neue Wilde), his art burns with strong, aggressive colors, with certain perspectives and sharp contrasts, which often makes them an expression of anger and rebellion. His style is a compilation of several streams of art: neo-expressionism, figurative painting and some influence of primitivism. It combines different orders, reality with spirituality and mysticism.
