Mikołaj Sobczak

Mikołaj Sobczak (born in 1989) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw at the Spatial Activities Studio. He was a scholarship holder of the Universität der Künste in Berlin. Since 2015 he has been studying at the Kunstakademie in Münster. He deals with video art and painting. A large part of his artistic practice also involves performative activities. He often creates and performs with the German artist Nicholas Grafia. 

In his work, Sobczak looks at how politics, especially historical politics, influence the fate of marginalized social groups and create various levels of exclusion.
