Rita Staszulonok
Rita Staszulonok - artist born in Minsk, Belarus. Staszulonok graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Fine Arts, specializing in monumental and decorative art, gaining skills in the technique of stained glass, mosaic, fresco, sgraffito, drawing, oil and tempera painting. After two years of work as assistant lecturer, she obtained painting instructor position at the same college.
Favorite technique - egg tempera on a panel. Staszulonok likes the craft aspect and the nobility of this medium. On small formats she creates her “hortus conclusus” – emanating with colors and details.
Since 2010, Staszulonok has been living near Gdansk in Poland. Since 2013, she is a member of the Association of Polish Artists ZPAP. Rita is a winner of the Polish Minister of Culture Gaude Polonia Scholarship, the Cultural Scholarship of the City of Gdansk, the Creative Scholarship of the Marshal of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, and the Creative Scholarship of the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport.
Always on the move, she is a participant of artistic residencies at Instituto Sacatar, Brazil and Can Serrat, Spain. Author of about 20 individual exhibitions, she took part in collective exhibitions in Uzbekistan, USA, Australia, Poland, Bulgaria, Denmark and Belarus. Her works are in the Museum of Contemporary Art in Minsk, in the Centrum Gallery in Krakow, in the Instituto Sacatar collection in Brazil, and in private collections in Poland and around the world.
