Stanisław Wieczorek
He was born in 1943 in Ujście, Katowice Voivodeship. He completed his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Faculty of Interior Design (1962-1969), with a diploma defended in the Exhibition and Fair Design Studio of prof. Kazimierz Nita, for whom, while still a student, he was an unofficial assistant. Shortly after graduation, he started working at his alma mater, with which he is still associated today. From 1977 he ran the Solids and Planes Studio at the Faculty of Graphics, and from 1980 - the Geometry and Composition Studio. In 1996, he received the title of full professor. He has served many times as vice-dean and dean of the Faculty of Graphics, where he runs the diploma studio of Multimedia Artistic Creation; he is also the creator and director of the "Media Art" Institute. In the years 1969-1975 he was the artistic director at Wydawnictwo Artystyczno-Graficzne, in the editorial office of the quarterly "Sugestie" devoted to visual propaganda, and in the period 1984-1992 he was the artistic director of the bimonthly "Projekt". In the 1970s, he collaborated with the Italian magazines "Shop" and "Linea grafica". In 1975, he collaborated with Julian Pałka on the setting of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Polish People's Republic at the Grand Theater. In cooperation with Marian Rojewski, he prepared the scenography of the Tenth Anniversary Stadium for the harvest festival in 1969 and selected pavilions for the Poznań International Fair in 1970. Stanisław Wieczorek's creative activity includes painting, drawing, scenography and exhibition design, workshop graphics, and above all, various forms of graphic design - from posters, through book design, to visual identification systems.
