DISPLAYS: Wilhelm Sasnal is one of Poland’s most prominent contemporary artists, known for his work as a painter, graphic artist, and filmmaker. Born in 1972 in Tarnów, he studied architecture at Kraków Polytechnic and painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. His art draws from mass media, pop culture, history, and everyday life, often exploring themes of memory, identity, and politics. His minimalist yet impactful style has earned him international acclaim, with exhibitions at Tate Modern, MoMA, and Centre Pompidou. Sasnal also creates films complementing his visual art.
