Władysław Kufko
Władysław Kufko was born in 1955 in Brest. He graduated from the Art Secondary School in Minsk and in 1981 he graduated from the Kiev Institute of Art. He practices easel painting and watercolors. In his paintings, he creates a world of fantastic characters, situations and hidden meanings. These worlds have an obvious reference to our human condition, but are not easily interpreted. The artist's paintings are a kind of small painting philosophical treatises. He attaches great importance to the composition and form of the image. He also works with portraits. He is a member of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Belarus and a member of the Union of Polish Artists and Designers. He took part in dozens of group exhibitions in Belarus, Poland, Russia, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, and had individual exhibitions in Poland and other countries.
His works are in the collections and art galleries of: the Museum in Brest, the Ministry of Culture in Minsk, the Union of Artists of the USSR in Moscow, and in private collections in the Republic of Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Spain, Czechoslovakia, USA and Canada.
In 2005, he was qualified for the final hundred of the IMAGE OF THE YEAR competition organized by Art & Business.
