Wojciech Brewka

(born 1980, Kalisz)

Colorist painter, street art artist, creator of large-scale murals, co-owner of the officyna art & design gallery, originator and producer of the Permeation Festival, Warsaw art dealer who in 2013 entered the auction salons of young Polish art with a hit.
Deconstructing both portrait, allegory and animalistic painting as a genre, he places, among others, on contrasting backgrounds: images of animals in a surprising, campy, ironic, often social context.

Many of his works are part of the mainstream of equality and ecological education, and the author himself willingly supports charity initiatives.

He was supposed to become a lawyer, but he chose painting, just like Jan Cybis, Józef Czapski, Henryk Gotlib, Eugène Fromentin, Wassily Kandinsky, Tadeusz Kantor, Juliusz Kossak, Édouard Manet, Józef Mehoffer, Henryk Rodakowski, Ferdynand Ruszczyc, Kazimierz Sichulski, Antonio Tapies, to name only the most famous.

He loves to create among family and friends. Because he is not afraid to take risks, he runs an art gallery with his partner, Ania, and he invited his sons Gustaw and Ignacy to paint together when they were less than 2 years old. It provides its workshop and exhibition space to students of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, talented musicians, sculptors, organizers of scientific sessions and off-site artistic activities.
