Entitled 'Touch of a Wave', the painting depicts a melancholic seascape where the dark sky meets the swaying sea and the light of the setting sun filters through the waves. In this scene, nature seems to stop at the boundary of two elements - sky and water - which, although separate, form a unity.
Observing this painting, one gets the impression that the clouds that now hang over the sky have travelled a long way around the world. Perhaps they have seen different countries, experienced storms, experienced the wind to now, with the help of rain, become part of the sea. This transformation is almost magical - by touching a wave, you can feel that it remembers its past, as it was once a cloud. Now, as a giant sea, it carries memories that are evoked by the light of the setting sun penetrating its crest.
