Aldona Zając

Aldona Zając is an artist born in Łowicz. She graduated from the Secondary School of Fine Arts in Łódź. In 1991, she received a diploma at the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Łódź, Faculty of Graphics, under prof. Jerzy Grabowski. She lives and works in Łowicz. She works as a drawing and painting instructor at the Łowicz Cultural Center.

She works in graphics, painting and drawing, participated in collective exhibitions organized by the Union of Artists and Designers in Łódź, as well as in individual exhibitions. The artist's works are in private collections in Poland and abroad.

Her painting interests revolve around man and human nature. The series "Women in the Interior" dates from 2010-2015. The author, for whom human figures are the pretext, wants to show the truth contained in the depths of feelings. She is looking for the truth hidden under the mask of color and dynamism of putting paints. The vivid form, the texture of oil paints gives the impression that the paintings received an additional, amazing form of luminosity. In this way, it achieves the effects of extreme moods. In the works, we see jealousy, reflection, joy, love, honesty, courage, and intimacy. All of them contain an extremely strong emotional charge. The characters presented together on the canvases are often lonely - having their own, separate world, which only occasionally overlaps with the inner world. The author often refers to other fields of art. The works are full of music and dance, thus the artist expands the area of ??experiences accompanying the audience and adds multidimensionality to the world in the paintings.

Since graduating, she has been working in her own studio.
