Workshop graphics - color woodcut. A rare and noble technique.
The female portrait is one of the most frequently undertaken themes in painting and graphics, and the portrait of this particular girl has become, in terms of musical terminology, "standard". The image was created as an oil painting, but it was already transposed into a poster-like version in the screen printing technique (we are talking about Andy Warhol's versions, of course). This particular work (made in a slightly archaic color woodcut technique) is like a return to the past.
This work is characterized by a smooth, strong black line contrasting with the intense, bright light falling on the model's face.
Graphics made on professional, thick (300g) paper, unframed, signed and numbered.
