There is no hell! The 3rd Sacrum Profanum Auction at Art in...
On June 18 at 19:30, we invite you to participate in the 3rd Sacrum Profanum Auction at the Art in House Auction House (Aleje Jerozolimskie 107, Warsaw). The items from the June catalog are linked by a religious theme, which our artists treated with complete creative freedom: you will find in it traditional (and sometimes orthodox), surreal, sentimental works, or with a greater or lesser dose of irony. Does the Pope go mushroom picking? What did the forgotten savior look like? What will happen to the Temple of Providence after the catastrophe? Everything will be decided on the auction evening.
You can see the traditional approach to spirituality in the moving work of Jan Dubrowin, the icon of Ewa Jaworska, Ewa Michalska and Wacław Sporski, the portrait of the Madonna by Mikołaj Malesza or the watercolor with the cathedral in Cologne by Adam Papke. Oneirism and sentimentality are the features of the works of Aleksander Yasin, Malwina de Brade, Adam Kołakowski, Grzegorz Kufel, Katarzyna Słowiańska-Kucz, Agnieszka Korczak-Ostrowska, Daniel Gromacki, Anna Oleszkiewicz, Grzegorz Walter and Lila Fijałkowska.
An ironic commentary can be seen in the unusual composition by Edward Dwurnik, depicting Christ in the park; teach Jacek Lipowczan; the Vatican portrait of Adam Kachny; the symbolic work of Izabela Sak; the image of the nun Artur Borkowski; cubist crucifixion by Robert Jadczak. The “dark side of the force” will be presented by Andras Gyorfi, Konrad Kucz, Piotr Kamieniarz, Andrzej Masianis and Patryk Adach.
For lovers of sculptures, we have prepared as many as 10 proposals: angelic figures by Tomasz Koclęga, Marta Wasilczyk, Magdalena Karłowicz and Zbigniew Jarocki; relics of Tomasz Górnicki, contemporary Maria Magdalena by Wojciech Jarocki, pilgrims by Arek Szwed, nineteenth-century St. Nicholas and two expressive wooden heels.
All works from the catalog of the 3rd Sacrum Profanum Auction will be on display at the Art in House headquarters from June 14 to the day of the auction from 9:00 to 18:00.
The catalog, regulations and detailed instructions for bidding can be found on the auction house website.
