Alicja Bielawska
The artist was born in Warsaw in 1980. She was educated at the Faculty of Art History of the University of Warsaw and the Fine Arts Department of Amsterdam Gerrit Rietveld Academie. She was a scholarship holder of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage and Mondriaan Fonds. He deals with sculpture, drawing and installation.
Her works are interconnected geometric figures and meshes shown in intense colors. In her projects, the artist uses various utilitarian objects, as well as decorating and building elements.
The artist's individual exhibitions took place, among others in Warsaw, Dallas, Amsterdam and Stuttgart. In 2015, the artist was nominated for the "Views" award granted by Deutsche Bank in cooperation with the Zachęta National Gallery of Art.
