Andrzej Kościelniak
The subject of Andrzej Kościelniak's photography definitely goes beyond one area of ??interest. It is also the motto "Spot the Invisible" that best describes and binds together his works. It is a look at what surrounds us from a completely different perspective. In his works, he shows ordinary events and objects that surround us. As he says, a little bit of imagination is enough to see what sometimes seems invisible to others. The photographed object can then be shown in a different angle, reveal its hidden magic, create a new form and content. The photographer sees artistry in an exhibition dummy or a common chair. However, in order to be able to perceive it, one should activate the possibility of abstract thinking, a feature which, as he says, allows us to more accurately and fully perceive the world around us, but also to understand more of ourselves. ", Which sometimes take us into the irrational world, and not literalism forces creative thinking. The ability to see both what is colored and what is gray definitely enriches our lives in terms of aesthetics, allows us to enjoy the multi-color and variety of objects and events that surround us. It enlarges the space around us. On November 4, 2019, at the New Look Gallery (Blue City Gallery in Warsaw), a vernissage and an exhibition of photographs took place under the name "Spot the Invisible"
