ANDRZEJ ZDANOWICZ

I was born in 1960 in Poznań (Poland). I studied painting faculty in Poznań in prof. Jan Świtka atelier (PWSSP). For a degree in painting I received honorable mention in 1985.

From 1986 to 2007 I worked as an assistant in prof. Norbert Skupniewicz atelier. In 1994  I earned my doctorate and in 1999  I earned my habilitation. From 2007  when I won a competition I am head of my atelier. From 2008 to 2016 year I acted as Dean of the Faculty of Painting in UAP (Art University in Poznań). I live and work in Poznań. My works are in collections in Poland and abroad.

I`m interested in classic painting. Mostly oil and tempera medium. 

I have seen a lot of pictures in Europe and in United States and I must admit the XIII and XIV century painting has a bigger power for me up to this days. What is for me important and suitable to use technic of the pictures. 

A fields of my inspiration comes from surrealism to abstract. 

I`ve started with painting the architecture and impossible figures which came from my imagination 

Currently I`m concentrate on a line as the most creative way describing reality. As the abstract concept, the line has an ability to circumscribe the world without the danger of falling in literature. 

Create her own fields of very complicated senses which can be read only by premonition preceded by sensitivity.
