Anna Sołtysik

Anna Sołtysik was born in 1983 in Krakow, currently lives and works in Rzeszów. She is a graduate of the Faculty of Art of the University of Rzeszów, majoring in Visual Arts (diploma in sculpture in the studio of prof. J. Kierski and painting in the studio of prof. A. Nikla and prof. M. Pokrywka) (2019), previously graduated from the Folk University of Artistic Crafts in Wola Sękowa (2014), where she obtained the titles of journeyman basketry (2014) and master of wood carving (2017). Participant of the International Artistic Actions in Wola Sękowa (2015 - 2017, 2022, 2023) as well as several sculpture and painting plein-airs. Participant of individual and collective exhibitions (sculpture, painting, mixed techniques). For over 10 years I have been perfecting my bronze workshop, creating sculptures that end up in private collections in Poland and Norway. I am inspired by what can be perceived with different senses, as well as emotions, interactions between people, suffering and passion, everything that gives life a distinct flavor, moves you to the viscera and changes you. Although these are difficult experiences, they have the power to change, they are the driving force for shaping our lives. Since 2017 I have been a member of the artistic group M37A, with which we organize events and exhibitions on topics related to physical and metaphorical space.
