Arkadiusz Wesołowski was born in 1971 in Koszalin, where he graduated from the Secondary School of Fine Arts and the Teachers College of Foreign Languages ??/ specialization in French. During linguistic practice in France / Bourges / he got to know the work of the painter Maurice Estève, who was initially a great influence on his work. This period is a time for the artist to search for and crystallize his own style under the supervision of the Master. Numerous trips around Europe and a longer stay in France resulted in numerous exhibitions in galleries. During doctoral studies at the Academy of Fine Arts Władysław Strzemiński in Łódź, the artist was interested in issues related to the Japanese graphics of the Edo period and its contemporary trends. He obtained his doctorate in the discipline of fine arts and conservation of works of art. / Faculty of Graphics and Painting in the Intaglio Techniques studio under the supervision of prof. Alicji Habisiak-Matczak /. He is a lecturer, animator and creator of cross-border events in the area of ??Pomerania in the field of culture and national heritage, author of several dozen individual and collective exhibitions in the country and abroad. Since 2021, he has been a member of the International Mokuhanga Association in Japan. In the Land of the Rising Sun, he presented 2 painting exhibitions, gaining great recognition from art collectors there. After his stay in Tokyo, since 2018, he creates a series of everyday events in the form of a drawing notebook illustrating the surrounding world. The collection of drawings is a separate field of art that combines a careful observation of the world, wit and a sophisticated mental shortcut supported by a master line that looks for a perfect form. The author does not avoid sophisticated eroticism in them, believing that it is an imperative for artistic activities. Winner of the 1st prize at the Painting Biennale in Bourges / France / and many art competitions in the country. His paintings and graphics can be found in many private collections as well as in museums. Apart from painting and graphic arts, the artist deals with chamber sculpture. He is the author of the Amber Wave statuette presented during the NA FALI festival organized by Radio ZET and TVP 2. He is also the creator of the statuette of the Minister of Infrastructure and Construction of the Republic of Poland, awarded to the most outstanding Polish architects.
