Basia Bańda

Basia Bańda was born in 1980 in Zielona Góra, lives and works there. She graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, and in 2018 she received a PhD at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Since 2008, she has been working at the Institute of Visual Arts at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Zielona Góra. She works at the Salons Foundation in Zielona Góra.

The artist began to be a recognizable artist while still in college. Has made several individual exhibitions, including in the Zderzak gallery in Krakow. She presented her work in 2005 at the Berlin Art Forum. In 2006 her works were shown at an exhibition that took place during the Munich festival of young culture and art "Terra Polska". At the turn of 2007 and 2007, the artist's paintings could be seen at the exhibition of Polish painting of the 21st century in the capital of Zachęta.
