Beniamin Cierniak
I was born in 1995 in Rybnik, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk in 2020
in Prof. Robert Florczak and Krzysztof Gliszczynski’s painting studios. I create large format
abstract paintings and light installations, using traditional old technologies. My paintings
are inspired mainly by nature and geometry. These are abstract paintings in which I show
what I currently feel. Every day, I broaden my workshop with new aspects of the
experience based, mainly, on watching the world that surrounds me. I have a very serious
attitude to the art so still I look for new technologies and new solutions in order to use them
in my artistic creation on canvas. The nature shows me the colours and shapes, lights and
shadows, which, consequently, leads me to putting them inside the picture frame. I also try
to use natural pigments and painting media, thanks to them my works have their own
specific fragrances and, as for the colors, they are not synthetic in any way. My inspiration
is flower buds, the sea, sky, fog, sand and other phenomena I am able to perceive. With
my paintbrush, I try to transfer my emotions, the meaning of life and the worlds that exist
beyond our normal perception. I search for realities that exist above the horizon as well as
those beyond it.
