David Bagalishvili was born in 1963 in Sighnaghi, Georgia. He is a graduate of the Toidze Art High School in Tbilisi and the Institute of Decorative Arts (now the Academy of Fine Arts) in Lviv. Currently, he works primarily in oil painting on canvas, though earlier in his career, he focused on monumental interior paintings, including sacred art. He also has experience in sculpture, graphic design, collage, and watercolor. Since 2006, he has been living and working in Ukraine.
