DOROTA ŁAZ
In 1987 she graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Rzeszów, and soon began a two-year work as an art teacher at the Primary School in Tadeusz Kantor's hometown - Wielopole Skrzyńskie. She began her higher education at the Higher School of Fine Arts in Kraków, obtaining a master's degree in art education, under the supervision of prof. dr hab. Wojciech Kubiczek, in 1994. For a dozen or so years she has lived and created in Mielec, while simultaneously working at Primary School No. 6 as a certified art teacher. Co-initiator of the Jan Stanisławski Association of Creators of Fine Arts in Mielec and its long-standing member, simultaneously associated with the Władysław Szafer Club of Creative Communities of the Mielec Land Lovers' Society. She has been practicing easel painting since the 1980s, experimenting with the following techniques: oil, acrylic, pastel (dry and oily), drawing, tempera, watercolour. For several years now, she has been most willing to express herself in oil painting, boldly using brush and palette knife. Since 2009, she has also manifested herself in abstract painting. Participant of numerous collective exhibitions of STKP and KŚT (TMZM), as well as international painting plein airs.
