He was an outstanding French painter and graphic artist, as well as one of the most famous representatives of Parisian bohemianism. Posters made him famous. Lautrec is considered a pioneer of this modern art. Next to Paul Cezanne, Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gaugin, he is one of the most famous and respected painters of the post-impressionist period.
