Izabela Drzewiecka
Izabela Drzewiecka - born on October 5, 1966. in Stawiszyn. She completed higher professional studies in pedagogy in the field of artistic and early school education at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań Pedagogical and Artistic Institute in Kalisz. She completed her master's studies in pedagogy in the field of early childhood education and art in 2002. She defended her master's thesis on "The importance of the correspondence of arts in the development of needs, cognitive motivation of a person" with Dr. Anna Rospenk-Spychała. She studied painting in the studio of professor Andrzej Niekrasz. Back then, she did not suspect that she would be painting herself one day, although she had shown her passion and talent for painting since childhood. She likes acrylic, oil and watercolors the most. Her works are in private collections in Poland and abroad. She also deals with graphic art and decoupage. Since 2004, she has been working at the School Complex in Stawiszyn as a teacher of art and art classes. With her passion, commitment and love for art, she infects her pupils, creating and supporting young talents with artistic help. Her pupils are laureates and distinguished winners in many international, national, regional and district competitions. In recent years, she has created numerous abstract works, using an explosion of colors and light. The technique of applying layers of paint with the gesture of rubbing and modifying the previous layers becomes a game with chance. The illusion of space, spontaneity, intuitive signs taken at the level of spatial logic lead the viewer into the space of experiences and feelings of her world of matter. On February 9, 2018. the first exhibition of works from 30 years of artistic achievements and the last series of works devoted to the discovery of contemporary art took place at the Municipal and Communal Cultural Center in Zbiersk. On October 24, 2018. in the Galeria Szatnia MDK together with the pupils from the Primary School Wincentego Pola in Stawiszyn presented an exhibition from the series "Student and Master" entitled "Four Seasons of Emotions in Art". The exhibition showed how much the language of abstraction can combine the works of two generations into one coherent whole. Unusual energetic paintings illuminated the gallery space with their colors and introduced the exhibition participants to the world of emotions.
