a versatile artist: a talented painter, composer of theater and film music, author of monumental oratorio and cantata works, a member of the European Film Academy - he claims he has always been painting. Through a youthful penchant for drawing, he went to the architecture department of the Cracow University of Technology, where he dealt with, among others painting and graphics with prof. Krystyna Wróblewska. He exhibited his paintings for the first time in 1999 at Piwnica pod Baranami. Since then, he has presented 12 series of paintings, drawings and graphics. Currently, he has over 70 individual exhibitions at home and abroad. Gel-art painting by Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz is the result of several years of artistic search in the latest proprietary technology based on pastel and brocade gels contained in Japanese pens. Thanks to them, the paintings of Jan Kanty Pawluśkiewicz surprise with their originality and unparalleled painterly expression. As the author himself says: "Gel-art - it is a combination of modern extravagance with convulsive classics".
