Jerzy Dmitruk
Jerzy Dmitruk was born in 1960 in Sępopol. He studied at the Painting Department of the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts with prof. Juliusz Joniak, defended his diploma in 1986. Then he was educated at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in the rotogravure studio of prof. A. Pietsch, as well as in the book and typography studio of doc. R. Bonaszewski.
The artist deals with painting, workshop graphics, illustration and book design. He creates graphic cycles, including "Sower of Harvest", "Painter's Life" and "Garden of First Love". He paints mostly on large formats, simplifying the composition elements to geometric figures.
The works of this artist can be found in the collections of the National Museum in Krakow, the Silesian Museum in Katowice, the District Museum in Nowy Sącz and the Department of Culture and Art of the Krakow City Hall.
