Joanna Mlącka
Joanna Mlącka is an artist born in 1981 in Mińsk Mazowiecki. In 2005-2010 she studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw - she defended her diploma with honors in the studio of prof. Jarosław Modzelewski (the annex to the photo was made in the studio of Prof. Grzegorz Kowalski). In 2009, she studied at Vysokia Výtvarných Umení in Bratislava (Erasmus program). In 2017, at the Institute of Fine Arts of the Jagiellonian University in Kielce, the artist defended her doctoral thesis entitled "Objects of intent".
Joanna Mlącka has received many awards and distinctions for her works: she is a laureate of the ENTRY Initiative award in 2011, she was nominated twice for the STRABAG ARTAWARD INTERNATIONAL semi-finals (2013 and 2012). She received a distinction at the 14th International Autumn Art Salon at BWA Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. In 2020, she received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for the implementation of the "SYMBIOZA" project.
The artist has nine individual exhibitions to her credit. He regularly presents his works at numerous group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She was listed in "Kompas Młodej Sztuki" many times.
