Kamila Wojciechowicz
Kamila Wojciechowicz comes from Fitzroy, Australia, and today lives and works in Warsaw. Here she also graduated in graphic arts and drawing from the Academy of Fine Arts. She also studied illustration at the Visual Arts Department at Camberwell College of Arts in London and at Fabbrica delle Favole under Chiara Carrer. In art, she is inspired by the phantasmagoric world, magical realism and the works of old masters such as Hieronymus Bosch, Albrecht Durer, and Leonardo da Vinci. She is also captivated by Victorian copperplate engravings. The artist most often creates collages and drawings with a feather in ink. She also practices computer graphics. Her works are either monochrome and drawing, or created in a wide range of colors with the use of bright colors. Sometimes she combines both techniques, which create fantastic, spatial collages. Characters from Bosch and other symbolists' paintings infiltrate her world to play a new role. The works are saturated with narration, dressed in drawing and painting forms, which makes them more attractive.
