Katarzyna Biskupska
My biography: Katarzyna Biskupska - (born 1970, Toruń) Lives and creates in the forest wilderness in the Tuchola Forest. Her soul moves between poetry, music, sculpture, but she loves painting the most. She is not a trained artist. She has great humility towards her work, because she thinks, not knowing where art with a capital "SZ" begins, that it is relative and every created object will find its recipient. The love of creating painted stories on canvas allows both her and the recipient to move somewhere from, but also to. In the multitude of everyday matters, their speed, it is in art that you can be somewhere calmer for a moment, somewhere in thought and pause. Many people who own the author's paintings give them personality, which allows them to relax in their presence. She creates mainly on canvas and wood in acrylic and oil as well as in mixed techniques. Katarzyna Biskupska's paintings are in every corner of the world from the USA, Canada, Japan through Paris, London and finally in various corners of Poland, both larger and smaller. Events include: in 2003-2005 she was the co-author and performer of a series of exhibitions and concerts, a project entitled: "I was who you are, I am who you can be" - Artus Court Toruń, - El Elbląg Gallery, - BWA Design Gallery Wrocław - Limanowa - plein air Painting exhibitions - a series of multi-annual exhibitions, painting vernissages in the Leaning Tower in Toruń - an open-air exhibition under the cathedral in Cologne, Germany - an exhibition in Germany at the invitation of the authorities of the city of Hachenburg - the author of a volume of poems entitled Przeżyj - the heroine of many reports on social/cultural topics in various media She often says that painting is intimacy with another person in joy or sadness, as well as a reflective look at the world, people, emotions, animals and the multi-layered nature of life
