Katarzyna Zasada
Katarzyna Zasada graduated from the Fine Arts Secondary School in Jelenia Góra-Cieplice, where she studied the secrets of "artistic glass" under the supervision of Prof. Władysław Czyszczoń. A graduate of the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts in Poznań. During her studies, she simultaneously pursued an individual course of study at the Department of Bionics with Prof. Włodzimierz Dreszer.
She then completed an internship at the "Violetta" glassworks in Stronie Śląskie, where her first glass sculptures were created, which were later the subject of her master's thesis. She also graduated from the Collegium Civitas University in Warsaw, majoring in History of Art.
After graduation, she worked as a glass designer (among others in the glassworks in Wołomin). Currently, she designs and produces a short series of her "bionic glass forms" (i.e. sculptures inspired by nature, in which she uses e.g. the imprint of natural wood grains). She works in both Polish and Czech glassworks.
In painting, she particularly likes to paint on natural silk with steam-cured paints. Most often, she paints pictures inspired by nature. Her works are in private collections both in Poland and abroad.
