Krzysztof Kwiatkowski
Painter, sculptor, social activist. He was born in 1965 in Grochowa. He lives and creates here. He is fascinated by the period of Young Poland. Favorite painters are Leon Wyczółkowski, Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski, Julian Fałat. He painted portraits of Saint. John Paul II, one of them can be admired in the parish church in Braszowice. He carves wood. He made, among other things, a 1.5 m statue of St. Florian, which he handed over to the firefighters of the Volunteer Fire Department. He is also interested in exploring old mines that hide dark secrets, which is why he painted several paintings devoted to this topic. To commemorate the hard mining work, he personally created a monument dedicated to miners working in the nearby magnesite mines. This monument can be admired in Brasovice. With great dedication and detail, he also renovated several roadside shrines near his place of residence.
