Lidia Kokoszka
259
DISPLAYS:
She graduated from high school of art, and later from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw at the Painting and Sculpture Faculty. In 2015 she commenced her degree in the studio of prof. Janusz Merkel. Her paintings include situations reflecting humane psychic state. Lidia exposes the objects, which by their nature are opposed to physicality and psyche of a man. Such forms seem interesting to her, as both form and matter, being contrasted, allow to enhance some of the features of character and to present the diversity of behaviour and mood, as well as relations between people. She uses canvas as a base because of its elasticity and resistance it enables multiple and varied development of the same surface, similarly to an individual personality, which is formed by life experience and the society people live in. In her works she tries to capture the picture of an individual, set in the realia of the contemporary world.
