Maciej Majewski
Maciej Majewski - born in 1977 in Rybnik. He graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the State Higher School of Film, Theater and Television in Łódź; major in Animated Film Production, where he obtained the title of Master of Arts.
Painter, draftsman, director of original animated films, avid surfer - amateur. His animated film "Beware! Bad Dogs!" has been shown and awarded at many festivals in Poland and abroad (including OFAFA and the Krakow Film Festival). In October 2012, he made the film "Syrinx" based on a poem by the German poet Norbert Hummelt for the ZEBRA Poetry Film Festival in Berlin. He made his debut with an exhibition of "Jutjub painting" at the MiTo gallery.
Currently, he paints "surf" themed pictures. Surfism is a philosophy of life, but also a new painting trend, showing the richness of visual impressions, its contemplative dimension, as well as the aspect of connection with nature and the element of water.
