Magdalena Szyszkowska
Magdalena Szyszkowska was born in Lublin. She graduated from the State Secondary School of Fine Arts. C.K. Of Norwid in Lublin. Diploma in drawing under the supervision of prof. Stanisław Górecki obtained in 1997 at the Faculty of Arts at UMCS. In 2011, she completed post-graduate studies at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. Diploma under the supervision of prof. Teresa Kotkowska-Rzepecka, annex to the diploma - unique artistic paper. She worked as an art teacher in a primary school and a vocational teacher in the field of visual advertising at the Art School Complex in Lublin. From 2007 to 2014 she worked as an assistant at the Institute of Fine Arts at the Faculty of Arts at UMCS in Lublin and at the College of Fine Arts at UMCS in Kazimierz Dolny on the Vistula, teaching drawing and painting. Currently she works as an academic teacher at the Wyższa Szkoła Społeczno-Przyrodnicza im. Wincentego Pola in Lublin, conducting classes in make-up, make-up and styling in the field of Cosmetology. In his artistic work, she deals with drawing, painting, photography and experimental techniques related to unique hand-made paper, obtained from plant material. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers - Lublin Branch, and the founder and member of the "Open Group" gathering academic teachers of the Institute of Fine Arts in Lublin. She actively participates in artistic life and takes part in open-air workshops and exhibitions, both collective and individual. Szyszkowska's paintings can be admired in art galleries and at auctions in auction houses. In March 2015, a doctoral dissertation was opened at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
