Maja Kozłowska

Maja Joanna Kozłowska (born 1980 in Wroclaw), holds an M.A. in Painting (diploma in 2022 in the studio of prof. J. Merkel) and a Diploma in  Art Disciplines in Architecture (postgraduate studies, diploma in the studio of prof. S. Kortyka in 2019) from the Academy of Fine Arts E. Geppert in Wroclaw. She also holds a PhD in Law from the University of Wroclaw (WPAiE, 2010). She grew up in Kazimierz Dolny by the Vistula River. Her works are inspired by nature, Vistula landscapes and the Far North. She creates abstract landscapes, architectural motifs and video projects. Through the filter of introspection, she analyses the surrounding reality and transforms it in her works, encouraging the viewer to stop in space, sometimes only in apparent peace. Always on the road - through the world of literature, sounds, distant corners of the world - she often returns to her closest places, such as the land of childhood.
