Marcin Kołpanowicz

Marcin Kołpanowicz was born in 1963 in Kraków. He is the son of the Krakow surrealist painter Andrzej Kołpanowicz. In 1987 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. His works were exhibited at twenty individual exhibitions, including: in Krakow, Warsaw, Paris. Additionally, he participated in numerous collective exhibitions, including: in Born: Fine Art Galerie, Cologne: Hintrager Galerie, Wuppertal: BWA, Częstochowa: TOP-ART Collection. In 2010, he exhibited his works at the international exhibition of magical realism "Dante - Divine Comedy". Since 2011, Kołpanowicz has been regularly publishing essays in the quarterly "Artysta i Sztuka".

The themes of his works are visions of non-existent cities and transformations of reality.
