Marek Zając

Marek Zając – Painter, educator, and assistant professor at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Siedlce since 2023. He holds a PhD in fine arts and art conservation, having defended his dissertation "The City Experienced and Imagined" at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce in 2023. He graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where in 2000 he earned his degree specializing in painting, mural painting, and art in public spaces.

He is a co-creator of the TA3 Artistic Tenement House and Gallery TA3, as well as a co-founder of the Art Association FRONT SZTUKI, aimed at promoting art and education. Since 2006, he has been associated with the "Bednarska" School Complex in Warsaw, where he has served as a certified teacher since 2017.

Marek Zając's artistic practice revolves around painting that explores urban spaces as both real and imagined experiences. Drawing inspiration from cityscapes, he reinterprets them through a symbolic lens, examining the relationship between humans and their environment.

His works can be found in private collections in Poland and abroad, as well as in public spaces. Through his artistic and educational endeavors, Marek Zając contributes to the promotion of contemporary art, engaging both younger generations and a broad audience.
