Mirela Bukała
Mirela Bukała was born in 1992. In 2014, she completed artistic education in the field of fine arts at the Art Institute of the University of Opole. In his work, he refers to interpersonal relations and current social problems. The characters in her compositions are usually deformed, even caricatured. The artist is inspired by mythological and biblical themes.
Apart from painting, the artist's passion is craftsmanship. In his free time, he sews and deals with carpentry. He also devotes attention to biographies of famous personalities.
Mirela Bukała has been awarded many times for her work. She won, among others 1st place in the competition for graphics Stop hate speech against women, organized by the association (NiE) typical women against hate speech, 2nd place in the competition for Illustrations to texts by Jeremy Przybora (2018) and the National Bank of Poland Award in the 22nd International Satirical Drawing Competition Zielona Góra (2020).
