Monika Szwed

(born 1978, Poznań)

She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts (currently the University of Fine Arts) in Poznań. She obtained diplomas at the Faculty of Artistic Education under Alicja Kępińska and at the Department of Multimedia under Piotr Kurka. She was a scholarship holder of the "Young Poland" program in 2006, and also received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in 2009. Author of individual exhibitions (including in the Gallery (-1) in the Polish Olympic Committee in 2022), participant of group exhibitions. Her works are part of institutional collections abroad and in Poland, e.g. in the collection of the National Museums in Krakow and Gdańsk.
