Piotr Lipski
Piotr Lipski is an artist born in 1983 and raised in the center of the secessionist city of Łódź. Since childhood, he has been fascinated by nature and the basics of drawing and photography. In 2001, he enrolled at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, where he participated in many projects. In the meantime, he undertook interior decoration on request for private persons and companies. He graduated from the University of Lodz in the field of Environmental Protection at the Department of Invertebrate Zoology and Oceanobiology in 2007 with honors. After graduation, forced by high unemployment and a bad financial situation, he left for England to find a job in the profession.
Piotr Lipski is a self-taught person and has never really had the opportunity to attend any art classes. The poor financial situation of the family prevented him from doing so. Piotr Lipski tried to develop his artistic skills alone in one of the gray tenement houses in Łódź near the Museum of Art History, where he learned about the work of great artists. He started to paint in earnest only at the age of 30, using mainly acrylic paints. Initially, he focused on creating the Mini Mail of the Rulers of the Polish Music Scene, reflecting his musical interests. In the meantime, he created a logo for small businesses, custom T-shirt designs and portraits, and even album covers for the UK band Mooli. He had the opportunity to paint portraits for people such as Adam Ostrowski or Organek.
Currently, he is experimenting with various techniques and, slowly departing from portraits, begins a completely new chapter in his work. Piotr Lipski has been living and working in Maidstone, Kent since 2007.
