Renata Bonczar was born in 1953. He has lived and works in Katowice since birth. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow at the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice. She studied in the studios of prof. Adam Hoffmann, prof. Andrzej Pietsch and prof. Jerzy Duda Gracz. She received her diploma in 1980. In 2004 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice she was awarded the degree of Doctor of Arts.
She deals with painting, drawing, designing and is an academic lecturer. She received an artistic scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art and an Artistic Award of the Silesian Voivode for her creative work.
Renata Bonczar is a multiple winner of the most important painting competitions in Poland. She presented her paintings and drawings at over two hundred collective exhibitions in Poland and in the world, including in the United States, former Yugoslavia, the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and France.
He is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers in Katowice, the Society of Friends of Fine Arts in Krakow, the Polart Creative Association in Krakow, and the Association of Polish Pastelists.
Until 2013, she presented over seventy individual exhibitions, among others: at the Silesian Museum in Katowice, at the Museum of the History of Katowice, at the TPSP, the Palace of Art in Krakow, the Pomeranian Library in Szczecin, the Pomeranian Dukes Castle in Szczecin, the Silesian Library in Katowice, at the Museum of the Lubusz Land, Zielona Góra, at the Museum of Sopot.
The artist's works are in many private and state collections, including the National Museum in Krakow, the Museum of the History of Katowice, the Silesian Museum, the Pomeranian Library in Szczecin, the Center for Contemporary Art in Cuenca (Spain), the City Hall of Segovia (Spain), Gargaliani City Office (Greece), TPST Palace of Arts in Krakow, Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Mikołów City Hall, ING Bank Śląski in Katowice, Radio Katowice.
