Romuald Musiolik
Born in 1973. He studied at the Faculty of Art and Design at the West Bohemian University of Arts in Pilsen. He was involved in the design of buildings, interiors and yachts. He practiced painting in local art studios, rediscovering photographic compositions. In his art, he tries to combine impressionism and abstraction; fascination with the city and human gestures. He appreciates color minimalism; experiments with "dirt" in the painting and the thick texture of the paint.
Initially, he dealt with black and white photography, which he learned during fashion photography. Here he met human faces and the silhouettes of models in motion. This gave rise to a fascination with contrasting figures for whom the big city landscape became the background. He chose the Faculty of Art and Design, he designed buildings, club interiors and even sailing yachts. He discovered the secrets of painting in the studios of local artists, trained the line and color, from which he recreated landscapes so famous from photographs.
He loves city landscapes and human gestures. Torn between impressionism and abstraction, he tries to combine these two directions in expressive expression. He values ??frugal color. Sometimes I feel the need for a collage.
His paintings are in private collections at home and abroad, and one of the most important events was qualifying for the 2018 Artbox project finals in New York.
