Ryszard Pasikowski

Ryszard Pasikowski was born in 1952 in Parczewo.

1972-1977 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw - painting department (prof. Jacek Sienicki's studio) and textiles (prof. Zbigniew Gostomski's studio).

1977 - graduated with honors.

1984, 1987, 1999 - received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art.

He participated in 40 collective exhibitions, 22 group exhibitions, 36 individual exhibitions in Poland and abroad (including Sweden, Denmark, Great Britain).

ARTISTIC MESSAGE

From 1984 organ music inspired him in his creative work.

He used the observed rhythms in the organ in reliefs, oil paintings and classical tapestries. He used matches in the reliefs - when lit, giving fire, they created a kind of music.

He called work on these cycles "ORGAN MUSIC".

He tries to develop his observations of light and sound in his works.
