Sławomir Marzec

Professor Sławomir Marzec was born in 1962 and is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Freie Kunst Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Currently, he runs the Painting Studio at the Faculty of Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He practices painting, drawing, installation, processed photography, performance and film. Author of nearly a hundred individual exhibitions (including the Center of Polish Sculpture in Orońsko, IPS Galeria Miejska Łódź, Galeria Foksal Warszawa, CSW Warszawa) and numerous publications, including books, on the border of theory and art criticism. In the mid-1980s he exhibited with a group called "Pracownia Winiarskiego". He publishes texts about art, among others in "New York Art Magazine", "Contemporary", "Exit", "Kresy"
