DISPLAYS: Szczepan Skorupka lived from 1903 to 1997. He was a painter and the brother of Stanisław Skorupka (linguist).
He studied painting at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1946, he was the founder of the "Niezależni" group. In 1956, he was a co-founder of the National "Zachęta" Group. He painted landscapes and still lifes in oil.
Stylistically, Skorupka's paintings belong to the conservative trend. He participated in many exhibitions of "Niezależne" and "Zachęta", as well as other exhibitions in Poland and abroad.
