Tomasz Olszewski

Artist born in 1970 in Konin. His favorite technique is watercolor. Why this technique? Because it is completely undiscovered, mysterious and unpredictable. Watercolor is difficult to tame, it has its own rules, and the end result is the result of many factors. From 2019, he also creates in acrylic. Works in the atelier and outdoors. It uses the best materials available on the market, because only such materials guarantee the quality and durability of the work. He mainly paints landscapes, marine, but also flowers and architecture. More and more often he creates series of paintings: "Polish Cities", "Maritime" etc. There are also genre scenes in his works. He is constantly discovering art and new possibilities of watercolor. In his paintings, there is often a search for a way of artistic expression; sometimes he creates more realistic works, and sometimes he treats the subject more synthetically. He is drawn to expressionism in painting, which is expressed in a dynamic stain and line. This makes his work dynamic. You can see the importance of color in the artist's works. Color is critical. In December 2015, one of the works (as one of five) was awarded in the 37 "Golden Easel" Art Review, regularly organized by the Center for Culture and Art in Konin. In December 2016, his work by the author won the main prize in the 38th Art Review "Golden Easel" Konin 2016. In the same year he was awarded the "Caryatid" in the Creator category. Participant of plein-airs and national and international exhibitions. 2021 - International exhibition on the occasion of the European Watercolor Symposium in Ulm (Germany). His works are in private collections in Poland, Germany, Canada, Italy and Norway. Since November 2016, he has been a member of the Polish Watercolor Association.
