Tomasz Sobecki

He was born in 1952 in Toruń. In June 2013, defending his thesis "IDEA PIRAMID", he obtained a doctoral degree in art in the field of photography at the Cinematography Department of FILMÓWKA - PWSFTViT. He works in cycles until the subject is finally explored and an artistic form is created. In 1990, he received an artistic scholarship from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain, and in 1991–1993 he received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art of the Republic of Poland. Representative of Polish art at the invitation of the Ministry of Culture and Art of the Republic of Poland at the International Art Festival in Venezuela, Caracas 1991. Lecturer in photography at universities in Łódź, Bydgoszcz and Toruń; assistant professor at the WSB University in Toruń; visiting professor at the Faculty of Design of the Indian Institute of Technology in Hyderabad. Works in the collections of museums and galleries: Muzeum Sztuki in Łódź, District Museum in Toruń, Gallery of Contemporary Sacred Art in Kielce, and private and public collections in Poland and abroad. Numerous individual exhibitions: Great Britain (1983) - Liverpool, Coventry; Switzerland (1985) - Raperswil, Finland (1990) - Äänekoski, Spain (2010) - Barcelona, ??Pamplona, ??Kazakhstan (2011) - Astana; USA - St. Louis (1991), Chicago (2013); Australia (2014) Sydney, India (2015) - Hyderabad.
