Valery Chernenko
Chernenko Valery was born in 1963 in Ivanivka, Ukraine, and from a young age showed a passion for drawing. Eventually he tried different techniques and materials before finally discovering his talent for oil painting.
He started with landscape paintings reflecting the beauty of his homeland, yet soon discovered other genres such as portraiture and surrealism. In the 1990s, as a result of the societal reconstruction in Crimea and Moscow, he had to assert himself and meet many other extraordinary artists. They recognized his talent and encouraged him to attend art school to improve his skills further.
Valery's sea passion developed back in childhood, when he visited the Aivazovsky Gallery in Feodosia with his parents. This love for the sea is reflected in his paintings, especially in the majestic naval battles that he masterfully depicts.
Valery Chernenko perfected his talent and eventually became worldwide famous. His wave paintings share the charming romanticism, subtly conveying the beauty of the sea and attracting more and more true connoisseurs of art. Gazing at his works, you would definitely recall the great art schools and masters of seascape, such as F. Bogolyubov, I. Aivazovsky and L. Lagorio.
