Waldemar Jama

Waldemar Jama was born in 1942 in Praszka. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań (1999); in 2005 he obtained the title of professor of fine arts. He teaches photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Member of the ZPAF (since 1973), member of the Artistic Council of the ZPAF. Appraiser of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage for the evaluation of works of photographic art (from 1978). His photographs (mainly from Silesia), often prepared in the form of photomontages, are full of atmospheric lights and symbolic references. Author of photo albums. He received a diploma and a medal from ZPAF for outstanding creative achievements in the field of photography (1997).
