Waldemar Kaliczak
Waldemar Kaliczek has been dealing with painting professionally throughout his life. From the beginning of the seventies to the mid nineties, he lived in Sweden, where, after many courses and a few years of self-didactic studies, he worked mainly on behalf of interior architects, painting series of oil paintings or allegorical scenes on the walls inside various buildings. Over the years, however, he changed his interests, initially focusing on computer graphics, and then on marketing and business, which eventually dominated his involvement after returning to Poland. He never gave up painting. He has been retired for several years and has more time to devote himself to it. He paints with oil paints using the glaze method - mainly on linen, primed by himself. The type of his works is mainly figurative painting with a surreal outline, but also abstraction. For years, he has been participating in open-air painting workshops in groups of recognized artists. He also took part in group exhibitions. Has an individual exhibition, as well as several organized ones - incl. in London.
